What Is The Actual Cause of the SST Overheating?

I'm curious as to what the actual cause of the SST overheating at the track is? Is it the number of gear changes it's performing? Or is it the fact the parts of the transmission are spinning so fast since the revs are kept essentially above 5K rpm all the time that is causing the transmission to overheat?

less air flow the clutchs are working harder more friction means more heat gears are getting used more often one track run is the same as 5000kms drive

it happens due to clutch slippage during shifting, shorter tracks with lots of turns will increase oil temperature more (due to numerous downsifts/upshifts) than a high speed track with less bends/corners
