Did you check for leaks?

My guess is head gasket issue. Did you burp the air out of the radiator completely? How hot is it getting?

Coolant res gets drained because either, the cooling system wasn't fully burped, and you had a good bit of air in it. OR, you're losing coolant internally through a bad head gasket, cracked head, or cracked block. Head gasket being the more likely culprit.

hello david, what a pleasure to get your reply! big fan of your stuff, have some installed in my car too

gasket is a brand new cosworth 4g63 86mm gasket, with arp headstuds.

by burping do you mean leaving the radiator cap open and topping it up while the car is idling? if that then yes..

maybe its the thermostat gone bad or sticking, i will replace it with a cosworth thermostat.

the temp while cruising is 95 degrees C and on pulls gets upto 100+

im running the water pump adapter plate for my engine, can that cause heating issues?

The standard method for filling the radiator is:
1. Insert funnel (a radiator funnel connects to the radiator in place of a pressure cap)
2. Fill with coolant
3. Idle engine until coolant disappears
4. Fill again and cap

im using a 4g63 86mm gasket on a 4g64 block, can that be a reason for overheating or it has nothing to do with it?

You're NOT going to use an 86 mm gasket with an 86.5 mm bore?

You need to replace the head gasket with one of proper bore size.
