Transmission problem
Transmission problem
So Saturday I was at work. My car drove fine to work but when I left, thatbwas another story. My car shifted fine for about half a quarter mile, not getting into it, and I stopped at the stop light. Next thing i know my car wouldn't shift and it came up with the service required light. The transmission would not shift by itself so I had to use the paddle shifters. When I did this the car skipped 2nd, 4th, and 6th gears. Now this had happened before about 10k or so but it shifted through all the gears with the paddle shifters. When I cut the car off and cut it back on, everything goes back to normal. Sunday the check engine light was still on, I tried to run codes on it but nothing was found. The last time this happened the light cut off the day I went to the dealer and they said they couldn't find any codes. Well I can't check anything now since there are no codes. Anyone else have this problem?
I have seen this issue alot in the first batch of SST transmissions. Some people have had this issue once or twice and it never happened again. Others have experienced the issue multiple times and ended up having to get the tranny replaced under warranty. My suggestion is to take it to the dealer while you are experiencing the issue and/or the CEL is on. This will be the only way the dealer can help you. Hopefully, you won't have the problem again.

Take a picture of the code when it comes up and run the code with a scanner and take a picture of what it says on the screen. If and when you show them that and they wont do anything, i would call headquarters and complain until something is done cause thats just BS. you buy a new car and you have transmission problems? and cause of there busyness you cant bring the car when it has the problems... i wouldnt settle for that.
