I have had my 2010 SE for just under two months. I have searched but not found an answer, and I'm usually apprehensive about posting because of the possibility that this is a bit of a obvious.

My TC-SST won't switch out of Normal mode. It will display "Sport" or "S-Sport" but it will act like it is in "Normal" mode. I initially considered that this was caused by engine or transmission temperature, as the iVtech in my old Civic wouldn't activate until the car reached a certain temperature.

Eventually, the mode does activate after a while, though sometimes I wonder if those times are getting longer (or I am just noticing it more now). Once it begins working, it doesn't go back to not working, and it "appears" like the mode only happens in cold starts (though I have yet to confirm). Is this common?

 

There is a "cold" mode to the SST trans, it will shift in that mode until a certain temp, then into whatever selected mode you have. This is to protect the transmission.
