Clunk/ rough shift every so often?

Every so often the car feels like it has a harsh shift from 2 to 1st, is this normal for the mr? Feels like it is jammed into 1st with a dull clunk sound. Anyone have this issue?

Yes the 2 to 1 downshift is a bit rougher. Try and time it between 1600-1900 rpm and use the brake when downshifting, that usually helps. Also, coming to a stop quickly is a LOT smoother than casually slowing down. Kinda the opposite of most every car, plus other driver's might think you are being aggressive when in reality you are trying to be nicer on the tranny, haha! At least that is my experience...

EDIT: Wait sorry for the 2 to 1, let the car slow way down, like 1.1-1.2K, then shift or let it downshift itself to 1. It wont stall out by downshifting itself at 0.9-1.0K. That first one (above) is for 3 to 2

It's typical. The TC-SST is pretty wonky downshifting from 2 to 1 in automatic mode. I love it anyway. It has personality.

Besides, if it's annoying me, I grab the paddles. I often will manually downshift 6 to 5 in traffic as well, because the "normal" mode autoshifter tends to keep it in 6th when you're turning about 1800 rpm, and it can cause a little lugging.

I have the same and was wondering about it. It only happens roughly once every few days or once a day.

I've found this usefull as well. Slowing quicker, the sst pulls the gears and puts the trans in neutral untill stopped. Just part of everyday life with the SST's

I don't think so. It's basically an auto-manual twin-clutch box, it never shifts to Neutral by itself in "D" mode unless u do it by urself with shifting the stick to "N".
