MR shifting too soon?

Anyone else's MR in 6th gear at 40 mph when in full auto, normal mode?

Mine is doing it quite a bit. Is this something a tune can fix?

Try shifting your stick over to the left in drive mode and shift yourself.......

my ralliart shifts at the same spot with the sst. I think its normal... pops out of it almost immediately when I push on the gas.

Yea it will hit 6th @ 40 mph if light on the throttle.
Almost to the point of the motor is lugging.
Btw I'm tuned, so it still goes into 6th at low speed.
Funny thing is I left in auto & went to up shift using paddles from 1st. By the time I hit the paddle, I was in 3rd.
Sst has some really quick shift programming.
Toss it into sport mode & just paddle shift or use the shifter to shift when you want. That's what I do when I want to shift @ 2 k to save gas.

As said before, it's normal and provides you with better gas mileage.

never really noticed it before since i was usually cursing 55+ on the highway to work. now that i have to travel to a different work location with some mild congestion, i am always stuck around 35-45 mph. the car will get up to 6th gear and when i coast down to 35ish, and try to accelerate again it is still in 6th and sluggish. usually at this point i have to shift down or add gas.

i tried sports mode but being in 4th at 40 mph and @4k rpm in traffic is not really helping either. i guess my only option is to use the paddle shifters. thanks all

Mine is the same. Normal mode seems to be all about economy.

Just drive in s-sport.

You'll never have any issues with it shifting too early.

Paddles are the way to go with this car.
