You could have had a great high HP build for the price of just a few of those mods. A properly tuned AMS 750R will bend a rod and put a hole in your stock block.

Good luck with the SSP kit, but I'm concerned that if you fix that issue you'll soon be back here asking about how to rebuild your blown motor. You need a stronger foundation.
Thanks for sharing your mind on that, but you don't know the full story, the initial plan was to rebuild the motor but with the amount of slip I was having am thinking it will be another waste of 5000$ atleast so the smarter choice was to take a step back de-tune the kit I have and try to fix the bigger problem since more power will only add more slip.

I thought that you cant fit a trans cooler and lower intercooler pipes together? I think AMS mentioned this in the description of their trans cooler

I'm curious in finding out if the SST transmission can be driven in sport mode on a full time basis without any problems occurring.

Hi Chris, that would be the MAF and MAP tables? Do you tweak them lower than stock values?

I recall reading that SST clamping pressure increases with load and one of the theory to reduce slips was to tweak the MAF/MAP tables so they are artificially high but well below the 300 limit.

But I reckon from your testing, you are getting better results with lower MAF/MAP values?

^That's true, until you have a turbo that will hit 340 load w/o breaking a sweat.

The SST prefers to be in sport mode all the time. Faster shifts with quicker clamping mean less slipping and less heat.

Normal mode tries too hard to make shifting less abrupt resulting in more slipping and heat, making the SST work harder and wearing your clutches more.

See this link for best info I've ever found about the TC-SST:

I'm sorry that you're having issues with our clutch packs, but these have been successfully used over and over again on numerous cars with zero issues. Kris and I have both reached out to you to help resolve the issue, yet you feel it's best to post up negative comments on the forum rather than contact us directly and get the issue resolved

Jeremy, there is a reason this is called a community, it is all about sharing knowledge, and I have came to the conclusion that 90% of the people you mentioned that have brought your chines clutch kits ran into issues, so why not speak publicly? Why not resolve it for all of us?

Any how my point was never negative and you can track and read the whole post from the beginning an you will relaize SSP is no victim in this particular case.

If you think I'm mad because your posting your opinion of our company on the forums you're wrong. I'm mad because EVERYBODY from our company has reached out to you trying to get your situation resolved, and the ONLY thing you want to do is come on here and Evo X and bash us. I got a crazy idea. How about you spend 1/2 the energy you do bashing us....and pick up the phone or type a email and and maybe we could get the issue fixed for you? It's just an idea.....

Nawawe,

It is very likely that the issue with your car can be resolved with tuning, assuming the clutch pack was installed correctly, has not been damaged due to slipping to date, and there are no other issues that would cause the transmission to have reduced clamping pressure. While the SSP 600 pack has a limit, I know where that limit is, and your car is no where near it.
