Exclamation Evo X MR - SSP problem

Hi Guys am new here hope we can all share knowledge and experience

I am very sorry if Mods think that this is repeated but I actually have a problem with my setup and I hope some one can help me shed some light on a solution.

I have a 2011 Evo X MR with AMS 750R kit not heavily tuned running at 380WHP and about 300 of torque (Mustang Dyno), at first I had crazy slipping problem with stock clutches and had to get it fixed so I went with SSP top package and so far proven to be of not much use aside from putting a hole in my wallet (No offence SSP am just sharing my experience) I am really stuck to the point of even considering the Dodson kits but worried that it might be the same results ultimately.

I live in UAE and my car was tuned by a garage that has experience with SSP and they are among the best in this region.

I cry out for some one to advice me what to do and what problem to look for since am beginning to hate my care because of this slip issues.

Thanks
Nawawe

SST trans needs to be tuned. If your tuner can't tune it might want to find someone who can or do it remotely with someone like kozmic motorsports. Also drive the car in s-sports mode.

Thanks for replying, yes my Trans is tuned and it is very very aggressive in S Sport mode, and I only push car in S Sport yet still slips

Have you given the the new SSP clutchpacks a proper break in period? They seem to need a good 1000 miles of moderate power or less applied to them before giving them 100% WOT. Sadly the clutchpacks alone are only one part of being able to hold more power, you have to tweak the ECU tables to fool it into thinking less airflow is going through your engine to get significant torque holding capability. Are the clutchpacks slipping so bad that they are opening or are they just slightly slipping at the current power level?

Well break in was done and I took my time with it, with regards to the tune as I said it is drastically more aggressive when shifting now makes me feel like am jumping from my seat first few gears

With regards to how bad it is well if I really push it the higher the rev the more the slip specially first 3 gears

Sorry for the delay in responding but I didn't see this thread until I received a PM yesterday from the Mods. In the future Kris and I can be reached 7 days a week via email or phone for a faster response time.

I know of 2 other X MR's successfully running our 600 clutches on the AMS 750 kit with no issues. All of our clutch packs have been dyno proven and track tested to meet or exceed the listed ratings. With that said, please give me a call directly at the shop or cell if possible, and or email and I'll be more than happy to go over things with you.

Why have you installed all those high HP mods without building the block?

You could have had a great high HP build for the price of just a few of those mods. A properly tuned AMS 750R will bend a rod and put a hole in your stock block.

Good luck with the SSP kit, but I'm concerned that if you fix that issue you'll soon be back here asking about how to rebuild your blown motor. You need a stronger foundation.

If u have a good tuner it won't. It's all about the tune u get! Now u might not have 700whp or the power that turbo can do but u will have the power that ur engine can hold.
