Hello you guys. I´m a proud owner of a RA from 2010, about 120k km on the odometer. I´ve reflashed the TCU to get the "s-sport mode and LC". Today was the first time I thought of trying to launch, so I drove the car to a suitable place to test it. Everything was looking good and working as it should, s-sport mode on, no acs or afs, (don´t remember wich is what right now) and the lever was put in manual mode. One foot on the brake, and the other on the gas pedal.. So far so good. The car reved up to about 5k rpms, and when I lifted my foot from the brake pedal the car just reved more and nothing happend besides a warning, a gear sign and "slow down" was shown. Did I do wrong or is something in the tranny worn out or broken?

 

Didn’t slam on the brake and gas hard enough and fast enough. It takes a minute to get adjusted to doing it correctly.

 

I did actually really push down the pedals, as hard as I could almost :P Maybe it just got f cked up that 1 try, I´ll try it out again. But I think I´ll wait til there´s snowy outside

 

You have to stand on both pedals quickly and release the brake in about 5 seconds of the car holding the rps at 5k. If you hit the pedals too slow or stand on LC too long you will always get that message. When you get the slow down it’s the clutches going to a open state.

Snow being on the ground won’t aid the launch.

Also make sure the trans is warmed up before launching as well.
