Can i see some pics or get a further explanation of how these use a 6 bolt rod bearing?

The only thing that I can assume is that the stock Evo/aftermarket rods use a bearing that is not as wide as the cap/big end itself?

Correct, the 6 bolt rod bearings are wider and these rods are provisioned to utilize them, no crankshaft modification required

just a helpful note. I have k1 crank here and wanted to use map rods, but cant. the fillet radii is maximized on this crank and can only use 7 bolt bearing. there my be other cranks out there with same design. I highly recommend map rods otherwise. very nice design rod.

Correct sir, our rods can only be used with OEM crankshafts. Fortunately, they hold up pretty well if you can work with an 88mm or 100mm stroke
