Congratulations Jack Brennen

Jack did a fantastic job whole season and took the SM championship in the WDCR/SCCA, which is one the most competitive regions in the country.

Congratulations Jack, tremendous performance.

Thank you.

It would not have been possible without two contributors in particular... SEL Ground Performance for supplying suspension and brake components and setup advice, and Vishnu Performance Systems for the XEDE and XEDEFlash engine management solutions and for Shiv spending the extra time to make sure that my custom tune was just right.

I won't be sitting on my laurels this winter. The car will be faster in 2005. Watch my SM preparation thread for details...

It's so much fun to watch this car dance through a course. Jack and SelGP have really done a great job making things work.

Is it time to call CCW yet for some width??

You've done more than watch...

If I "remember" correctly:

...this particular car was unbelievably balanced. It's an absolute rocket in a straightline, at least as quick as a Z06. The most impressive thing about the car was its predictability and handling balance.
...<snip>...
All in all, it was a great experience.

Did I say that? Boy you are a forum-*****!

And I hope to do more than watch in the future

I'm saving for some CCWs (and ProTracs) myself, just not sure what size yet, I'm hoping the 710 comes in some good sizes.

I think it actually would have been possible. You were running competitively with SM last year when you were in AS trim!

Yeah, but SM didn't stand still... Go back and look at who the SM champion was in 2003. Then look where he finished in 2004.

I'll give you the statistical summary -- he placed 7th in the points this year, never finishing higher than 3rd in an event. On average this year, I was 2.673 seconds faster than him at events where we both competed, while my main competitor, John D., was 2.386 seconds faster than him.

Trust me, I had thoughts last winter of running an AS car in SM this year. I would have gotten my butt kicked...
