SRT-4 & S40

have corrupted the Speed World Challenge Touring Car Series? They now allow FI cars in the series.

Thoughts?

Miss-interpreted the question...FI in a normally non-FI world is bad! end of story

I'm not concerned, nor care about the Volvo or the Dodge - it's the fact that they allow Turbo's in the "Touring Car Series".

ah, right, I thought you were mad that they had them and not the Evo/STi, I agree with you on that part...but are their S40s turbos? Cuz they come non-turbo...but that's like...um...letting someone who should be in SM2 in autocross compete in STU instead...it's just stupid

Yeah, the Volvo is a turbo. - It'll be interesting I'd expect to see a Subaru real soon, hopefully followed by an Evo

They will adjust the performance of the turbo cars accordingly to match the rest of the field. They do this for every car. So, the turbo cars will probably be running lower boost.

My guess is

the SRT-4 will kick **** in the first race which will cause a quick reaction from the committee (air restriction, boost, etc....) - kinda like the CTS-V last year in GT.

I'll have to dig, but I don't feel like it right now, but I remember the Evo/STi being preclassed in the GT class.
