I believe this is Kent Jordan's race car built by John Mueller. I was not there, but I read that the driver went off at 9 tried to correct, got into the infiled and flipped the car. Driver was taken on strecher but is ok...has bumps and bruises. The cage did its job protecting the driver.

It is sad to see such a beauty of a car destroyed.

Is that even a question? Unless you bought extra coverage for racing events, your regular insurance will not cover the loss.

Are you part of SoCal Karters? I race shifter karts up in the PNW and will probably be heading down to CA for a few races this year.

Sorry to hear about the crash.

Sometimes they do, but in this case I do not think so. If your car is stock or close to stock and the insurance company treats the event as a "driver education" event, then they will cover it. But in this case the car is stripped, has a roll cage and is well modded. One look at the car and the insurance company would know that this is a race car. It all depends on the insurance company and how they treat track driving events.

i agree that the car will prbably not be covered by insurance, but it was not heavily modded it had full exhaust,drop-in filter ,MBC,safc, injectors, fuel pump, and full coilovers
it was strictly a track car, the guy(kent jordan) was john muellers student and business partner ,he had one second place in the evom tunershootout, and is safe wich is the most important thing

Sorry, didn't mean to sound like an *** if that is what it was. The thing with insurance companies is that they are worse than our warranties. If there is any way they can deny coverage they will find a way. After all investigation is said and done, it would be easy for the insurance to say that the track event was "racing".

i think the last thing on kents mind is insurance(i doubt it was insured actually due to the fact that it was strictly a track car)and if you see how kent is rollin$$ i bet he could care less,a race car obviously is near wreckage every time its on the track- he knew that and understands that you gotta pay to play
