Pics and brief video from last week at the track
Last weekend I headed out to the local track for a little fun. A young friend dropped by and took these pictures as well as this brief video. I thought you guys might enjoy it.
The track is 2nd Creek Raceway in CO.
The car is my Evo. Mods: Vishnu Sig turbo back with cat delete, Xede with 91 map loaded. – otherwise completely stock including Advans.
Very Short Video -- right click, save as

I believe this was a cooldown lap as the car doesn't appear to be under load

Pitching it in in turn 1

Zoomed in -- note the front tire angle. Can anyone say understeer?

Spectator Hook -- the tightest corner on the track

Same picture -- just a little zoomed in

great pics, and that track looks like a riot. i wish we had more of an urban type road cours around here. at PIR, the same picture would have 4 cars in it. there isnt a sole around in yours.
damn, I wish I could get track time for $48.... and only 6 cars on the track... you lucked out big time.
Seems like a big rear swaybar would make that track alot more FUN =)
take care,
nils

that looks like so much fun!!
one question, is there a need for a certain kind of license for taking your car out to a track like that? I talked to someone at the Chicago autoshow saying how he's finished with the first part of his race license school and he needs to go through another to get his racing license...don't know the specifics but he said after that, he can drive on Road America...

A normal 1/2 day is $60. I buy a frequent lapper card so each 1/2 day only costs me $48.
It might be a bit of a long drive from NM. There are some better tracks such as PPIR and even Pueblo Motosport Park that would be a little closer to you.
