I can't see how that makes any sense. For the amount of money you'd lose on the trade, you could turn your '04 RS into a real track monster.

For fun, i believe that the 04 RS is a _better_ car than the 05. Although I wish I'd gotten the bump in torque, there's plenty of power and it's very easy to get more if you want.

The ACD is a mixed blessing. In can decrease lap times, but it can also decease fun by making the car less 'flingable'.

Most importantly, remember that the '05 is a hundred pounds (or so) heavier than the '04.

I definately wouldn't trade it, especially since you can get almost all of the power/torque benefit from a $300 upgrade (10.5 exhaust housing). Add a ECU flash into the mix, and you have a lot more power while probably maintating your warranty.

My personal feeling on the ACD is that without the SAYC you are not getting a lot for the extra weight and complexity, especially in dry conditions. But, this statement is made without actually haven driven one on the track.

With just a small amount of the money you would lose on the trade you can get your '04 running some good times. I'd stick with the '04 if I were you.
