SCCA T2 Evo at Summit
I will check with the wife and see if we have plans. My friend Gus Rosenberg will be there in GT-2 with his Porsche Boxster. So I have two times the reason to make it. If I can not make it please make sure to get some pictures of teh car for us.

Hi All,
Here is the blow by blow. The Friday test day was uneventful except for a big off in the chute. The bracket that holds the front left ABS sensor wire somehow snapped and the wire was cut in half by the rotor. Did'nt pick up the warning light and went for a wild ride. Spliced the wire and all was well again. Saturday qualifying went well and saw the Evo on the T2 pole with a 1:25.77 on a damp track, followed by an STI, two Camaros and two more STI's. The Subaru team is very strong in the Northeast. Full factory backing, tractor trailer rig and a strong three car team of my old buddies Chuck Hemmingson, Dave Rosenblum and Kris Skavnes. All of these guys have plenty of World Challenge, Grand-Am experience so the cars were very fast. On to the race. I got a killer start and lead the race for 18 laps when I heard a big bang in the front left and the steering went south. I pulled off the track with three broken wheel studs on the left front. I am running custom hub-centric spacers and had problems all weekend. The hub of the spacer was too tight a fit in the wheel, so when the wheel was torqued the spacer would'nt seat properly. I believe this caused the lugs to back off, leading to the broken studs. I was lucky not to lose the wheel. The spacers have been machined and the problem should now be solved. A Camaro went on to win the race, followed by two STI's. Fast laps amongst the top cars ranged from 1:24.7 to 1:24.9. The old track record was 1:25.6. The Evo will be testing at Limerock this weekend and then on to NHIS for the next National.
Cheers,

Cheers,
I woke up sunday morning ready to head to the track when my father alled and with the rain we got he had 5 inches of water in his basement. I spent the day helping him out!
Please let me know when you have your next race at Summit Point, The Glen, or Limeorck.
PS- IS teh car legal for GARRA Cup GS class? I was told that the STi guys were heading to GA Cup next season. Any hope of you going with them? NOne-the-less I hope to see you on track live.
Not to be a pain but do you have any pictures?

wtz - Sounds like you were doing great on Saturday (except for the end).....What happened on Sunday or is T2 only run one day on the weekend? I was there on thursday for Seat Time...surprised how many weekend guys showed up so early.
Do you guys do standing starts or rolling? Do you run stock gearing? I would think the Evo would get killed down the big straight with stock gearing. Sounds like they will need to add some weight to the Evo's to slow them down in T2?
