Does anyone know how i would go upon getting a factory Group N EVO preped car or chasie, like the ones raced in the SCCA rally? I know some companys sell the car minuis the engine and trans. I want it for tarmac use only, thats the only diffrence. So if anyone knows where i can start let me know, thanks...this is something i'm very intrested in getting.

Maybe try Mozartracing.com. Their group N Evo might be up for sale soon.

Group N cars are built. And since there are no Tarmac rallys in the US you won't find Group N tarmac spec Evos here.

There are a good number of "Group N" gravel rally cars in the US though. The sites above are the best place to look. I know cascade autosport was looking to sell their Evo VII RS at full Group N spec a while back.

somewhere on the internet I found a link that gave out the part numbers you need to convert a USDM EVO to a Group N spec EVO.

Lots of parts to swap... It's easier if you have an '05 because of the ACD.

chrisw, I searched the web but i didnt find anything.

Right now i have the '04 rs but i want to sell it once i find out how i can get a tarmac group-n. If i have to build a group-n i want to use the IX RS platform. I know what direction i want to move in but its a matter of finding out where to get the things i want. Thanks

Will it be a dedicated track car? What series/sanctioning body are you going to race with?

Call the Rally Shops around the country, they should be able to prepare one for you. It's not hard to get one of the competitive cars into this country if you don't drive it on the street. Competition use only.

After researching i think i will contact http://www.vtcar.com/ about what i want to do. Yeah, i want to make the car for competition use only. Once the car has a cage in it, it's no longer street legal, so i guess i wont be driving it on the streets. Right now i just want to build the car for personal use to take to the track, i don't think i will be joining any specific series unless you can think of one where a car like this would fit into. oh i only want to race on tarmac. Just out of curiosity, how do you register a car like this to get tags? What new laws would i be applicable too? And what if i drive it on the street, what kind of penalties are there? Is there a post disscussing this?
