Lancer in SCCA Stock Class
Just a few thoughts about the Lancer in stock class.
1. It is a big car for HS, but power delivery (torque) falls in the middle of the power band is flexible.
2. Tire size 205/50-15 lowers final drive enough to make 2nd gear more useful.
3. Suspension travel seems to be longer than other vehicles. My OZ doesn't hit the bump stops on pavement changes when other stock class cars are losing grip from bottoming the suspension. Body roll is not near as bad as the last stock Civic I owned.
4. The car will rotate if the rear tire pressures are dropped 8-10 lbs. from the fronts, creating a nice balance.
5. The car is fun to drive and if you can't have fun in autocrossing, then something is wrong!

"Here's to the pencil pushers. May they all get lead poisoning, huh?"

I know where that is located, but I don't know what they do. I work a few blocks from there. They are located in a renovated furniture warehouse.
What autocross tires are you running? I have about 30% treadlife left on my Ecsta v700s and I am considering Hoosiers next time. Treadlife is a big trade-off with them I have been told, but grip and weight are tremendous advantages. Autocrosses here only last from March (this year 34 degrees with 20-35 MPH winds) to maybe October, one event a month. I travel to Lexington, KY to run with the region there too and I trying to go to the Divisional events and maybe a National tour event so I only have 12-16 events a year. 2 Kids have hampered my participation!

Huntington is a small town, about 55,000 people with a metro area of about 130,000, much smaller than Vegas. You probably would be bored to death here. The only good thing about being small is that our SCCA region only has 36 members and at solos we usually have less than 20 entrants so everyone gets a minimum of 8 runs usually!
Does Clientlogic support Iomega products? I called Iomega over a CD-RW and talked to a rep who was at that location. Just wondering.....

"If my calculations are correct, when this baby hits 88 miles-per-hour you're going to see some serious ****."
