the only performence mods i have done is a drop in k&n filter and the brake pads. also i have added 4-point harnesses though becuase our seats do not hold you in place very well. you can run dot approved race tires, brake pads, drop in filter, and axle back exhaust only in the stock class. pretty limited no suspension mods or anything. i think it handles pretty damn well for stock. i mean the mini that is currently beating me has every allowable mod you can do in the stock class and i am only 1 second behind him. and i would figure that his car would be 10 times better than our lancers

i'm sure you guys realize that SCCA classing is set up so that almost ANY car can be competitive in its class, right? Now, if you beat some D-stock or STX cars in your Lancer, THAT would be something.

Congrats on the results and can't wait to see how you do with tires. Can't be losing to those pansy Minis, right? (which are actually good autocross cars)

YellowOZ03: The SCLC is talking about a cruise up to Las Vegas this Summer possibly. Could you send me the race schedule and I'll try to get them to do it one of those weekends?

and Luminari: down here, a '91 Ford Escort dominates our class, and beating all the STX cars (including 3 WRXs) and the SM cars (including a BMW M coupe), so there's hope for me yet!!! I just gotta learn how to drive.

How come you guys go dark (no races) June through August? The Summer was my best choice for travelling up there to try a race in LV I might be able to come to the lat May one, but that's right around graduation for me.

well they used to race at the texas hotel but they changed their parking lot a lil and it is now unsafe for scca racing we are in the process of getting a new venue for the summer. it gets a lil hot in here in las vegas during the summer so we like to try and find a place to race at night so it is a lil cooler you know. i am trying to get something so that we can race during the summer otherwise i think i will go nuts not being able to race for that long but i am looking forward to may 24-25th becuase i am going upto to hawthorne,nv(lil *** town in the middle of no where) for our annual north-south challenge with the reno region. should be really fun. going to trailler my beautiful car up there and maybe get to race against some other lancers maybe once i get some on our summer racing i will be sure to get you some info urban. would like to see some other lancers racing since i always get crap from all teh subbie owners.

Well, I posted the idea of taking a trip up to Las Vegas.

How far of a drive is this North-South Challenge from Vegas? I was hoping to make a weekend of it and stay with my grandparents who live in North Las Vegas.
