Do no-A/C RS model have additional ducts for radiator?

I'm just wondering...I removed the A/C on my car and now I have three huge holes on the sides and bottom of the radiator where the A/C condenser used to be. I'm thinking that I'm loosing air flow thru the radiator and that maybe has a part to duct these up. Maybe the RS has ducts to cover these holes?

I'm currently in the process of sealing these holes up (1/3 done) with some thin aluminum, but frankly it has been too much work. If anyone has any ideas, please post.

Reason I'm posting in the Motorsports section is my water temps went up on the track after the A/C removal. All other things remained equal except for the removal of the sunroof/roof.

Thanks,
josé

I've spent the last couple days trying to figure out what "holes" you were talking about, but now I understand!

I would imagine non-A/C cars have some type of plastic "shroud" to help direct the airflow through the radiator instead of around it. Obviously the air will take the path of least resistance, so MMC would be wise to account for this.

Good luck finding out!

I'm intersted to see what you find!

All RS in the U.S.A. have air conditioning. I have an '04 RS with a/c and it's not an option. Originally, MMNA was planning to bring non-a/c RS models to the USA for track enthusiasts, but finally decided that no McDonald's eating Amercian fatso would buy a new car without a/c.

If you lived where I do you would need it, even in a track car. 110 degrees for months straight is just too much...
