ugh, what a day...

They sprayed the whole track with a urethane style sealant the day before this track event.

Couldnt even drive 7/10's....

pahrump redline track event video
(right click save as please)

and those clips were taken from only 2 sessions.. there was plenty more.

On top of that a Lotus Elise burned COMPLETELY down on track, another car puked oil all over track.. down for hours.

Not Redline's fault, just bad luck.

It was great to see all you EVO heads out there though!!

the zhit would cake on... then get cold and large chunks would fly off the cars.. it was crazy.

if parked for a while the stuff would get cold on tires, so when you would move, it made cracking sounds in the ground. You could literally feel the tires wanting to not move. After 4 sessions it took the tires over... no grip left at all, had to go home.

I am not exauggurating when I say I have 4-5 pounds worth of crap stuck on my wheels, exhaust, etc to clean off tomorrow.

Some of those drivers are very good, they are local yocals like me.. it was just very, very slippery out there.

I was about 6 seconds off my regular pace.

ha ha!

it was like a rain practice, without the rain.... honestly, the only thing I am pissed about is having to clean up the car, I know it will be a nightmare.

Ed,
no problem... hey, now I know that AWD helps everyone out at the track, imagine if they would have to tow us out of that pit.

You'll love the Robispec.

good clips.

Turn one coming right out of the hot pits, I was only going about 40-50mph when the car went on me.

combination of cold tires and that sealant did it.

to put things in perspective, I usually take that turn at twice the speed and have never went off there in 2 years.
