EVOs at Streets of Willow 12-16-05
Yesterday, the guys/gals from SoCalEvo went to one of our local racetracks, Streets of Willow. We had about 10 EVOs there, among the 50 or so cars. Weather was cold by SoCal standards, maybe 40 degrees when we got there in the morning, heating up to maybe 60 in the afternoon. I guess I can't complains since we are playing on the track while some of you are sliding around in ice storms.
Here's a link to a bunch of pics the guy with the red EVO posted, which can be viewed as a slide show.

The track (the turn at the top is and 18 degree banked turn called the bowl, and on the lower right is the "skidpad turn" -- you can take any line you want through the skidpad.

Here I am in my favorite parking space.

Not really sure -- the timing equipment was malfunctioning. Redline Track Events is going to scrap the hot lap timers and buy a AMB transponder system, which is much more reliable.
My best at SOW CW so far was 1:32 last month. We were running CCW last Friday and I was probably a couple of seconds slower. Looking forward to breaking 1:30 soon I hope.
The fastest Muellerized EVO I know of at SOW CW is Kent Jordan, who ran a 1:22 a couple of weeks ago.
