Project Mu Level Max 900
Project Mu Level Max 900
Anyone running these on the street and track?
I currently have Titan Ki and they're great on street and track. I need to change pads and just wondering how the Level Max will perform on the street?
If anyone has any experience please let me know ASAP. Also need to know how the performance would be on Advan tires at the track. Are these pads too aggressive for a street tire? Like winter tires can't handle the titan ki's...my ABS kicks in a lot under hard braking
MODS: I have a similar post in the brakes forum. please delete that one if i can't have two. not getting any replies there...sorry

I just ran a track even with them at thunderhill. 190 on track miles. 2:05.8 lap time was my best of the day.
These pads are great. They did not fade once. Before I was fading my performance frictions.
I used up about half of the pads that day. I could brake deeper and harder than any other pad I have used this whole last years worth of track events.
I would not run these on the street if you want your rotors to last. I think these are more race pads than Project Mu says they are.
I was very hesitant to use these pads since I try to stay away from JDM brands but RRE told me I would like them and after this last event, I love them.
They will most likely overpower your street tires if you are braking hard with them, but again, I would really not recommend them on the street. I drove them to and back from the track, then took them off. I was overpowering my 255/40/17 RA1's in some hard braking spots on track but I think that might have been more me not being used to the pads yet.
Another great thing is the price!

Thanks for the reply. what a coincidence as I bought and installed the pads a few hours back. Even with anti-squeal they're squealing like crazy but hopefully after i bed them in they may get better. Otherwise i'm putting the Titan Ki's back in.
I think you're right as they seem a lot more hard core than the titan ki i've been using. I'm going to see how these drive on the street for a couple days otherwise i'll take them out and keep them for track only.
thanks for the feed back

you don't have any brake bias problems given that the Level Max have a higher cf than the titan ki?
Also do you Level Max squeal? i tried to bed in the pads over the weekend but i still have pretty bad squealing.

Question, you using the MAX 900 on stock rotors or you using aftermarket ones?
I got myself a brand new set of Project Mu 2 piece rotors and wonder if the MAX 900 will do well with these. Titan Kais are gone, wish I could find at least 2 sets of those down here just to race the whole season.
