Anyone else going to Mid Ohio next weekend?

I'll be there on friday for the NASA HPDE event, just wondering if I'll be the only Evo there.

I would love to do that event, however I cant. But I did recently join NASA and I hope to get to Mid-Ohio with NASA later on in the summer.

You mean the 21st, right? I see they don't have the rollcall up yet, but I'll be there and you can usually count on Derek and Scott. But it's the Indiana folks who really represent! I've never seen more Evos than at the last Putnam Park event. Looking forward to meeting, I'll have the 96 silver.

Dave

Awesome, I finally get to meet some of you guys. The event is the 21st - 23rd, but I can only attend on the 21st. What class are you running in Dave?

On another note, of all the times I've been to Putnam, only once was there another Evo there.

On Friday I'll run group 3. I figure after a winter off, no put-your-shoes-here marks on the new pavement, and trying some cheap, shiny, purple coilovers (I know, I know, but my original struts were dying and I just needed something to replace them) I want to get back up to speed before dealing with open passing.

On another note, of all the times I've been to Putnam, only once was there another Evo there.
Was it Hooligan in the white MR? He's quick!

I'll be there in my 'stang in HPDE 3. It'll be the black one with ugly wheels and good looking owner. I can't wait!

I decide to start off in group 2, since it's been 2 years since my first (and last) trip to Mid Ohio and my instructor was very much subpar. That in conjunction with the new pavement and my first event of the year, I figured it was prudent. If it was Putnam I would have gone straight for group 3 no question.

No it wasn't a white MR, this was in '03, and the guy had a tarmac black viii, and two weeks after the event the car snap oversteered on him in turn 6 (?) at Gateway, and he totalled it. He was an instructor, just not at the event we both attended.

I'll be there in my BBY, with a friend and his s2k. Stop by and say hi!

I think the idea is to be able to run different parts of their driving school at the same time without worrying about running into each other. That or they're looking to drag in the stock car crowd to replace the runoffs...
