Photo shoot of the GSC Time Attack EVO
Cory, thanks for the info. You were indeed off a good bit in the Horsepower Dept., which makes your time's very impressive. I corrected my post. I think next time they should just make the stock class for stock turbo cars, it would eliminate a bunch of the confusion. Although the evo 9 turbo cars will be able to make over 400whp anyways. I have no doubt that the GSC unlimited car will be really fast when sorted out. Hopefully we get some more tuners on the east coast running unlimited class, it''s gonna be fun.

mark your more than welcome in any of our threads as is anyone on the internet. i just wanted to let you know that we were no way prepared for this event from un tested cars to making changes just days before the event. If it wasnt for a phone call to AMS and eric telling me you were running a 3076 on the white car on monday july 3rd, cory would have been down about 150whp. we switched to a 20g9 litterly tuesday and hit the dyno on thursday with the car. we made 286@21 psi with cory's car the afs were good so we left. we were conserend as to why the lower power but knew we didnt have the time to find it so we rolled out. cory's car will be ready to go the next time the track day rolls around.
the black car did make 404whp on a mustang @26psi on thursday but that made it for about a 1/2 a lap at the shoot out. we had to run 21psi after the boost spike and the motor loosing a cylender deffinatly hurt the power. from what both cory and leh said sunday is the car had a 42-43 in it if we could just get it around the track for one lap. that is why we pushed so hard on sunday to get it out. when those two agree on a lap time its pretty much going to happen.
I was happy that there was competition out there the guys from Pure tuning did an awesome job. i dont need to pat the AMS guys and your self on the back at all you guys won the event great job and if we have to loose to someone i would rather it be you guys than anyone. you earned the win great cars great driving.
I myself am ready for more shops to enter into the playing field with there Evo's i think it was an awesome event and i can't wait till next year! but before hand i think there are a few nasa events and a few red line events that we are going to have some fun with. see you at the track!

I love the competiton you guys are having... as the development you guys do trickles down to us "mortal" Evo owners without a shop behind us.
TJ: Mark, can I borrow your Evo for Nationals this year? I won't put any miles on it...by trailering it out to Topeka

Second, 100 whp more than Cory and more than your car is a bit of an exageration, since we know all the numbers that the cars layed down.
Yours made 404 on a mustang Dyno
Cory's was 286 on a mustang Dyno (corrected, thanks Cory)
The AMS white car made 390 on a Dynojet dyno
The Pure-tuning guys were making 400+ on a mustang dyno spiking 28-29 psi of boost falling to 24. (They told me this directly after we were done running)
Third, regarding shift points, I was shifting pretty consistantly at 7300 rpm. Martin tuned the car to make torque, not top end horsepower. This is where you are right that the AMS guys gave me a great car to drive that really pulled well off the turns. But certainly not one that was making 100 more than Cory, or one that was making more than 400 at the wheels. In saying all that, you are certainly entitled to your opinion that it was all car and horsepower.
Lastly, I find the high and mighty comment pretty damn funny considering your screenname.
If you wish that I don't make any comments in any of your threads, I am cool with that. It was not intended to offend.

we hurt our motor 2nd lap with a wg line popping off and boosting 37psi..... (its in tons of posts.. did you read any or jsut post?
).... also 404 was 26psi........so the motor blew and then we turnd down the boost worried we would end the motor before race day.... so on 22psi and a injurd motor.. i would consider that "less" then your car... i think thats a pretty good assumption... and thats what i ran the 45 on...
"KINGLEH" was my nick name in hichschool thats what all the black people called me...because KINGLEE was a rap DJ that was big in middle GA... he drove a mercedes with 20's...... i also drove a mercedes in high shcool and my name is Leh Keen... but they thought it was Lee King..... so they called me kinglee.... then it kinda evolved.....
you are new here mark.... you dont know me.... you havent seen me drive.... u have seen me putput..... so earn you respect... sit back.. relax....
