Race Pads, what does everyone recommend?

So I just got off a set of Cobalt VRs and they're a tad expensive for how quickly they wore out (299 for one pair of fronts... so 600 for a full set of fronts) and they wore out after like 10-15 track days.

I'm using R-Compound tires and high-heat brake fluid (i.e. SuperBlue), so what pads do you guys think I should use?

Ten to fifteen days on a set of track pads is forever. For crossover track/street pads I've been using the Project Mu level max 900. They work well if you dont mind some squeal while daily driving. I get about 4 track days out of a set of front pads. For comparison.. the stock pads lasted about a day and a half. For straight hardcore track only pads the Pagid blacks work well.

I tried HT-10 and now VR-Spec. Never looked back. Cobalts are good stuff!

PF 97 is good. Also Raybestos ST-41 Front / ST-42 (or 43) rear or Hawk Blue...both eat rotors when cold...

u know...i'm kind of on the fence with the 900s. i used them for the first time at the track and they seemed kind of unpredictable...sometimes they would be really strong and sometimes not

Project Mu - Titan Kai pads... great so far .
6 track days... plus a 8000 miles of street driving. Still have over half the pad left.
Ate Superblue fluid.

Interesting, I found the MAX900s to be very stable. Much different than the PF97's I used.

Ten track days!? I get like 2 or 3 out of a set of pads, no matter what pads they are.

Question for all the PF97 users.

I know these pads are carbon metallic, but are they supposed to throw an INSANE amount of sparks when warmed up? When I'm driving at night and do a couple hard stops I get visual sparks off of them. I think it looks cool, but Jesus, it it normal?

PF97 front pads, stock rotors.
