I do most of my racing up in lafayette/west lafayette(Purdue). That's where i'm originally from and most of my friends still live there. Where do you race in indy and what do you roll? Do you do the autox they have down there? I've got a few friends who go down there for that.

most of the time. the GTI is basically a race car. you wouldn't believe how those things hug the turns(this coming from a person who's owned 5 BMW's). if we pick out an all road(no dirt/gravel/snow) and i'm feelin good, then i'll take out the M for a few times.

any mods on that monster? I used to drive a normal GTI in Europe, but isn't the VR6 more potent? I really don't know - not much of a VW insider.

there was no vr6 on the mkII's. it was just the 8v and 16v. it's basically a rebuilt 1.8Lbottom w/a 2.0Ltop. TT catback, headers, intake, springs, struts short throw, perf. linkage, bbs 16"...etc. basically nothing is stock except the interior(black/red recarros ) it's all natual though. dynapak gave me 188hp@the wheels w/167lb/ft torque. It runs low 5's 0-60.

My friend competes in Pro Rally (when he has the $$$). I'd love to co-drive for him, but I get insanely car sick. There is just no way I'd be able to do it. I crew chief for him. Car always breaks tho. I don't take the blame, I didn't build it!
