Grattan Pictures Oct 9th

Have not been here in a while.....figured I'd post a couple pictures from last weekend at Grattan (Michigan)

Car is on 275/40/17 Falken Azenis, Apex N1 coilovers 650rr/550Frt, 25mm progress bar, full poly bushings....roughly 350whp, weighs 3400lb with driver.

Enjoy:

Getting ready to pounce:

One lap Later:

Another view.

You can view the rest here courtesy of Ryan Bush, a student that was taken photos at the track for fun:

I love that track. I've been there on 2 wheels but plan to bring my Evo out there next year. Did you get air at the jump hump?

Not that I know of.... the Lotus in the pictures had at least 2-3" of air under both rear wheels.

What king of lap times do you run on a bike? I was running consitant 1:29s (Clockwise...2 wheels runs counterclockwise?)

Looks good Matt! Did you take off the front splitter? Last time I had seen your car was at the WMHM 2 years ago at gingerman. It looked good back then too, expecially when it started to rain and you were out there having fun!

Thank you.......I didn't "take" the splitter off.......The trailer decided to "remove it" around Midnight, about a year ago when I was loading for a track event.

I think you were my instructor at Gingerman about 2 or three years ago. I was driving a blue STI back then.

Did you have to roll your fenders to accomodate the 275 width tires?

Any remaining rubbing issues?

Yes, The rear fenders are rolled, the tires rub on the rear lower conrol arm...I have a 15mm spacer on the front wheels and get some rub on the fender liners.

I ran it clockwise too. I've been there 3 times and run consistent 32's. I've had a few laps of 'personal brilliance' where i got into the 30's. the best I've seen on a bike was 26's. The camber makes that place tough on a bike. I ate pavement in 2 trying to run in hotter until non rubber parts hit the ground hard and I highsided.
