Is anyone aware of an EVO lapping at Laguna Seca? or is Mazda keeping them out to prevent any direct lap time comparisons to their rx8?

Some think this is a bit worthless comparison, but I have been running a Evo VII GSR around Laguna Seca in Gran Turismo 3 on sim tires to try and get an idea of how the 7 feels.

I've only had a chance to drive my brother's blue 8 and a friends silver 8, but I did put them through their handling paces, unfortunately not at a track with a timer to get a good solid evaluation on them, but as the mags have shown from their timed tests and my seat of the pants test, the E8 really has to capability to shame most everything else on the street.

I'm about to run some laps now in my yellow 7 with some sticky tires (much more sticky than real life tires I've ever raced on), but can't wait to try some hoosier rs303's at the local courses

If you want to read about an Evo VII at Laguna Seca, do a search, I know Karl took his to that track and posted details some months back.
