WORKS competes at Super Street Time Attack

Under beautiful skies, the WORKS Time Attack EVO competed for the fourth year in a row at the annual Super Street Time Attack at Buttonwillow Raceway.
As usual, we entered the Limited AWD class and encountered the stiffest competition yet. With Dave Brown ('05-'06 US Touring Car Champion) piloting the WORKS car, we were in good hands.

With revised suspension geometry, new areodynamics, fresh CK3 twin plate clutch, our OverSized rear brake kit, and our high-lock rear diff, we had a lot to sort out but a hidden oil leak stole the whole show. We were still putting the car back together after fixing the leak while the practice session started and we managed to get on track for the last 10 minutes of the practice session.

As the day progressed, the air temp increased while the track conditions decreased causing slower lap times for most teams. Our development process from session to session made significant enough changes to improve our lap times as the day went on. In the end we were able to pull off an unofficial 1:55:6x which probably puts us in second place behind the Crawford Sti (which was a nice $$$ build by the way) and ahead of everyone else in our class. We won't know the official results for a while but would like to thank Super Street for hosting another successful event.

Meanwhile, we are getting ready for the 25 Hours of Thunderhill next month. And then the WRP (WORKS Racing Program) will be relocating to Sears Point/Infineon Raceway early next year.

We would like to thank the following sponsors for their support:
-APR
-Cosworth
-Forge
-K&N
-OHLINS
-Swift Springs
-Toyo Tires
-Voltex
-5zigen
