Found this on another forum:

Its to get Speed TV to reduce its dedication to Nascar shows and focus more on real racing like WRC, F1, etc...

never happen. They are sellouts now. I remember years ago all they showed was gt, f1, wrc, etc. There is too much money in nascar now. Every major corporation has their hands in it. Nascar turned from racing into a publicity stunt. SAD

Unfortunately I can't find a single day without Speedtv showing some type of NASCAR racing .
However, according to autoweek magazine, 06 season was the first year in past several years that the ratings for NASCAR have gone down.
One of the NASCAR drivers also commented that with their '07 schedule which has them racing 33 times would bring the ratings down even more.
Hopefully, Speed TV would finally bring WRC back in '07.

Yeah it seems like just two years ago, WRC, F1, and SCCA events were on SPEED all the time. Now I don't even watch it because it's all about NASCAR.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS , that is what I am talking about.... real driving(Formula one, Rally racing) not just the pathetic , boring, uncomprehensable lap after lap after lap oval track racing.

Show me some SCCA racing cups(mazda cup, GT turismo,Porsche cup), to hell with NASCAR... oh WOW he just accomplished 100 laps in a oval track..WOW

Also, lets ask for not insulting us with playing tv comercial every 5 minutes in the middle of live Formula One racing.

I know that is how they get paid for sponsorship but have you guys realized how many times they displayed TV commercial during Formula one live races?

Thats not going to happen, NASCAR owns Speed in partnership with Fox Broadcasting. Nascar intended to buy Speed outright but could not afford it.

That is a pity then. I wish we had a TV channel that would provide us with live coverage for real driving events, events in which involve skillfull driving unlike Nascar which the only driving skill tasking is to drive in circles...

You mean you don't enjoy watching cars turn left for 300 laps? Just wait until Honda gets involved in Nascar - an Accord with a V8 and a live rear axle? Fantastic!

I want my WRC!!!
