Maybe so, but that 700+hp sure helped it boogey down the mulsanne straight.

i take it not many of you have heard the potential of a 4 or even a three rotor NA...
at the 2000 daytona 24hr after the HSR event i got to take a good look at mazdas 3 rotor race car
it was an amazing piece and sounded insane
unlike any other race car
over 800hps

a peripheral port beast, those motors will always hold a place in my heart! before everyone starts bashing that lovley piece up there, KNOW YOUR ROOTS THATS KINDA THE BEGINING for asian performance

Yup and 62 kgm of tq equal=450 ft lbs which it makes at 6500 rpm, shoot mine makes that at 4500, but it def doenst make 700 whp haha.

And to the fool above me, the jap's had been producing many a good engine before these, the rotaries suck compared to piston egines in almost all catagories except top end power.

i suppose if an unlimited budget is allowed then it would be ok, but in real life, where money does matter, rotaries are garbage.

before you guys all poo poo wankels you should drive a cart with one of these powering it (I have and it makes a fully prepped shifter kart feel slow!). It's got plenty of torque as well (unlike the street car motors).
