What brake pads or combination of pads are you guys planning on using ? I remember talking to Daddio and he told me that he liked the stockers because of the way they allow him to modulate the brakes better; that was two seasons ago and a lot have change since. Also let us hear the reasons behind your selections, Thanks.

Daddio also has an RS, which lacks ABS. He doesn't want a pad with lots of initial bite b/c it's just gonna cause more problems than its worth. I would choose anything that gets up to temp pretty quick if you have ABS. Now if you're running a Pro w/2 drivers you "may" want something that can handle a little extra heat. I've always been happy with Porterfield R4S's for normal autox.

The National champ BSP Showcase Evo also used stock pads. I talked to them at the Cincy Cen-Div this past year. They also have an RS though.
The stock pads seem to work great for autox. I used them for 2 years. Last year I started using Hawk HP+.

I also run the Porterfield R4S pads, but pretty much just because that is what Martin at Girodisc recommended for me.

Hawk HPS, as they get up to temp quickly.

The main reason the 275/40 works for AS is because the 8" rim pinches the tire in enough to make it narrow enough not to rub too much...

If anybody didn't get in that wants to go, call Nancy Downing at the SCCA office and get on the waitlist. There are a TON of people signed up that will probably bail out right before the event so there is a good chance that you will still get in.
