Homestead T2 Results
Looks like ole' WTZ (Evo 8/9) won another one with that Lotus (Zabinsky) chasing him... as posted on the SCCA forum:
T2
1) Zeigler, 1:32.6; 2) Zabinsky, 1:31.8; 3) Cousin Al, 1:33.9 4) & 5) two mustangs
Fast lap Zabinsky...
Way to go Bill! So when is your next one? Marty and I have CMP scheduled, but since you've got your two out of region wins I guess you'll pass on that trip. See you at Summit in April!

Bill's driving (most of all) and his car setup are really amazing. I had the pleasure to be on the same track as him back in November at Limerock, MAN did he smoke me.
I tried to watch his line but I couldn't keep up! Congrats!!!!!

Yep, another good time to be had by all. Despite canning a wastegate actuator on friday, swappin a turbo that night etc, got her back up to full steam.
No discredit to the lotus, but that time HAS to be off, or it was a mispost from the full course caution or something, as the lotus was running consistant 34's and 35's, and dipping into the 33's when he found a draft. I had clocked him every lap, and i never saw a 32 out of that car.
The second fastest T2 time was one of the factory backed mustangs, that bowed out 2-3 laps in, with mechanicals that they'd been fighting all weekend.
The lotus and that camaro we're havin a good old time though, as the camaro would simply walk the underpowered lotus out on the straights and banking, however Zabinsky was doing A HELL OF A JOB barreling that car through turn 1 before braking. That was simply amazing, no questions asked.
Bill's drivin and the evo took the cake today, but that lotus will be a car to be respected, no doubt.
Again, a good time to be had by all. i know i did.

Good job Bill, wish I could of made it down. I really doubt the time was off, Im sure he just got a really good run at one lap. Once the mylaps times come out it will show what he did. So what went out the wg or the turbo? or both?

The next race for the SE region of Nationals is at CMP carolina motorsports park. I believe the date is Feb 17th. Last I talked to Bill Z he said he wont be there. I am planning on being there as is CJ in his Nationals debut.
I'll say the wg was the terminal failure, but the turbo was closely following. I'd call it preventative maintainance
