also 1 more quick reminder mitsu isn't participating as a team this year the few mitsu cars you will see are private teams who in all fairness don't stand much of a chance against the others :[ but heres to hoping for the better in 2008!!

You don't even know how much I want to see the new EVO X WRC. I'm sure it's going to kick butt and maybe take it back from all the french teams! Even though Ford is pretty strong too! Hopefully by next year ESPN is going to step up and air all the WRC events.

I'm sorry to disspoint you but the EVO X will never run in the WRC... the reason why is that the new EVO X is a 2.4L engine and WRC regulations limit engine size to NO BIGGER then a 2.0L :[ therefore the chances that the EVO X will run are slim to none. Instead what is most likely to happen is the Mitsu Cobalt (also know as the Lancer here in the states) will be the one participating like the 05 WRC car, but on a revised platform.

That's the first time I heard that the Evo X is going to have a 2.4L engine? Everywhere I read news about the car they specified that it's going to be a 2.0L engine just so that it would comply with WRC rules.
Do you have a writen buletin to back it up with?

Yeah! At Detroit they just showed us the prototype for the EVO X, something like 95% finished. This season they are running some new components for the EVO X WRC on the old WRC platform, it's a pretty wise thing to do. It gives you more time to test before jumping the real competition with a new car!

Rally looks VERY close on first day. Gronholm is leading now but hasn't been for long (Petter was leading earlier, and Gigi Gali won stage 3 as mentioned) Hopefully we will continue to see this churning in the top 10 after each stage. Need to get some clips!
