The track is kind of bumpy. But it has no pot holes! 2 years ago the owners wanted to lay down a layer of high quality asphalt but the drivers and team owners were against this idea. Everyone things they should keep it in its vintage feel and look. They are celebrating the 55th. race this year! There are only a handful of races with a similar heritage!

nope, only watched the races on TV.

it seemed to me like the cars were being jarred around a lot. however, just like most people that only see stuff on tv, I don't really know what I am talking about.

so Sebring doesn't shake the heck out of cars? it seems to me like the cars would be throwaways after driving sebring... too bumpy.

there are bumpy corners, and rough sections. A lot of running turn 17, is picking your bumps. A flat smooth T17 would lead to lots more high-speed accidents, as you know you can't go through 17 stupid fast, due to the bumps.

Honestly, t17 and the inside of 1 are the only spots i'd even be concerned with the surface. I've probably hit that track 15 or so times now, and I love it.

Maybe an hr from orlando, maybe hr and half.

Yeah, that race is awesome, was there last year. I know the guys at Turn 1 and the CDOC guys were at the end of the long back staight, so I was able to watch it from the top of their trailer. So much fun, but not as much fun as driving on it.

Where is everyone staying for the race? I'm still looking for a hotel. I know a motel that's about 20 miles away that has good prices but it's kind of sketchy!

Cant wait this year.....My boss rented a huge RV...the ones with the fold out sides, the real pimp ones. Only $995 for the whole weekend.
We set up at the hair pin with a huge corvette tent and flags.
We are at the same spot every year. Barbecue and everything.
Feel free to stop by anyone for some beer. We always have plenty on hand...

I'm at Sebring and I'm parked in the crew parking lot near the entrance or by the Farnbacher Loles rig. Yesterday was a pretty good day but today things are going to heat up on the track. See you around!
