SCCA-RM Winter Event #4
Had a great time at our 4th Winter Event yesterday up at Coors Field in Denver. Got 2 good vids, one from inside and one from outside on my last and best run (well, sorta
).

There is definitely some comedy in the in-car vid, so you'll want to check it out, haha.

D-oh. Gotta hate that last f'n cone. The run looked pretty decent. It looked tight as hell though. You looked a little "behind" in the slaloms but again that may just be due to the tightness of the course. I'm jealous, I wanna play too.

It wasn't too tight of a course, but I come up on the cones so fast now that they look tighter. The lot is long and narrow, so it required a lot of wiggles to make a good course. It was still very fast and fun in spite of this.
You're right that I was behind on the slalom, at least the 2nd one. The first one was kinda weird, because the cones were offset, and they were not the same distance. The 2nd one was more traditional except that the last 2 cones were much closer together than the first 3 or so. It's ok to mess that up on the first run, but by my last run, I should have been able to nail it. I did do that 2nd slalom well on the 3rd run, but on the 4th run, notice how I look in my rearview in the MIDDLE of the slalom. That's because I thought I hit the entry cone and looked back instinctively, which threw me off rhythm for the final 2 cones. That's why I expressed my displeasure with a hearty "dammit!" right there, hah. I should not have looked back in my rearview - that was dumb.
All in all, tons of fun, though, considering it's February in Colorado!

Looking in the rearview mirror is NOT a technique that I'd recommend. Bend your mirror out of the way and close your side mirrors so you're not tempted to look into them. That is unless your putting on your lipstick. LOL

Unfortunately I forgot to record my last two runs but we did get six runs on tape.
