Castrol SRF
Castrol SRF
Once an Evo owner told me to stay away from the RBF 600 and Castrol SRF because they are hygroscopic(more than conventional). They need to be changed more often.
After reading this technical inform, it seems the opposite. Castrol SRF is LESS hygroscopic than convetional brake fluids.

Is there some SRF user that can confirm this information?

SRF is THA sh*t. I use it on my daily driver, Time attack car. Been at least 4 races and not even re-bled the system. Its totally amazing, other stuff I would recommend is the project mu fluid its awesome as well. You will notice your brake pedal is stiffer and much better pedal feel you'll see. If you can find it somewhat cheap its the way to go. If not, go project mu. Motul works for stock turbo cars or light cars that dont make huge miles in the straights at least in the track I race in PR for me and 3 other evo's and 2 STI's with 50trim's, 3071, FPRed's Motul boils exactly in the same place for all of us after 3 laps, and our heats are of 7 hot laps.
Good info. Out of curiosity, are you all running some type of brake cooling ducts as well?
Thanks!
Thanks!

SRF costs maybe twice as much as Motul but this to me means its just a huge deal as it works so so well. I have yet to hear one person who has ever used it say one bad thing about it and for as much money as we spend on much less important things than our brakes it seems like money well spent.
My apologies...should have been more specific. I really appreciate the inside info, Marty. The question was directed specifically to Randy to find out if his (and friend's) RBF boiled even with the cooling duct system in place.
Sorry to take it OT. But either way, it's obvious SRF is the way to go for extreme duty.
Cheers!
