Installing an Accusump, Fire System, and Kill Switch

I finally got around to installing an Accusump engine oiler, fire suppression system, and kill switch in my Evo IX RS racecar. We did some pretty neat things with the set-up of the Accusump, so I thought you all might be interested in checking out the work.

You can see details on our web site here.

Let me know what you think of the work.

I have had it out at a grand total of one test day (see earlier blog post), but the suspebnsion was way off so the in-car footage is pretty boring.

I'll be out at Sears Point this weekend running the NASA Time Trial so that I can shake down the car a bit more. If you're local, swing by. Either way, I'll post some in-car from that event at the end of the weekend.

I have seen some other baffles available. It's not rocket-science, just have to take the time to drop the pan and weld it in.

This car will most likely be getting an upgraded motor at some point, so I'll plan to put one in when I do the build.

I did not. The only fire trigger is internal, as I don't run with anyone that requires a full external trigger.

Lots of more recent work done to the car in my Blog. More to come this weekend as well, as I"m making yet more suspension changes, installing all of my rally gear (computer, spares, tools, etc.). I'm also booked to do some more test days later this month.
