wait...

You're talking about throttle lift oversteer, on entry.

Brake.

Turn in.

Gas. (that means don't lift.) Anytime you lift after turn in, you're killing time.

Enter the corner at a proper speed, sounds like your braking and setup into the corner isn't consistant.

I totally agree.

But if your driving is not up to par, then try softening the rear of the car by changing the rear swaybar setting, then springs, then alignment.

BTW, what is your alignment?, setup?, etc....

+2.
I've gotta go with this too.

I know some people that like to left-foot brake in certain corners in order to create a smoother transition from gas/brake/gas-out through the apex in order to keep the car more settled.
An example is a high-speed turn after a long straight-away where you don't need to downshift for.

I've never tried it personally...

I think im gonna do the aformentioned suggestions. Ie. Tire pressure, swaybar adjustment to one step less stiff. I have a new wheel and tire setup that will probably increase oversteer but we shall see.

Maybe i was turnin in too hard just after braking when the rear was unloaded and thus the oversteer. I wana get a camera mount and make some vids for reviewing. Probably a great investment as it will probably help me determine where i am wrong in my line/technique.

Never got an alignment (though i will before i hit the track again)

I don't mean to flame you in particular but anytime you request help with on track handling its near impossible to actually help you unless at least one of the following is provided:

1. video of the turn(s)
2. data traces (g2x, traqmate etc.)
3. informed third party observer description

On top of that a track name, turn number(s), and a complete and lucid description of your technique in the corner(s) is essential. At this point, don't bother changing anything on the car and just concentrate on warmpepsi's description of the proper cornering technique, Ive made a slight annotation.

Brake. [ht - in a straight line as much as possible, don't turn your steering wheel during this step]

Turn in.

Gas. (that means don't lift.) Anytime you lift after turn in, you're killing time.
Doing anything else will mean youll be hunting after a moving target.

I agree that its hard to figure but a little less air and softer rear should help with the end result. I also ponder how your getting this instant off throttle snap in the turn. For me I enter the braking zone standing on the middle pedal, start my turn in while rolling off the brake and slowly get back into the juice while I apex rolling it on as I exit. In short I try to keep the car on line and as smooth as possible.

Now there are a few more complex turns that are testing my growth and keeping me on my toes... #2 at Mid Ohio and #9 at BeaveRun for instance. Neither one needs ANY brake and both are very fast. I do in fact feel the urge to lift but if I do chances of bad things happening go up a great deal. In short, I just keep telling myself don't lift!
