BTW, I think you "SHOULD" post up what they did since those of us that were signed up already know.
Besides, they screwed all of us (especially you guys) so it's not like you will likely do an event there so why worry about posting it up.

Although we have about 4 total tracks within 330miles... roadtrips!
Hopefully this one gets a good turnout and can continue!

The Mid-West needs to get the respect we deserve like the Coasts get when it comes to events. If some of these events/venues were correctly and truly advertised, the amount of participants would be off the charts. There are by far a great deal of racers here in Ohio and throughout the Mid-West, and very good racers at that. If this particular venue was to be advertised on TV(cable on Speed channel) for each event, the turnouts would be very large and very competitive. Me and my companies have experience doing this, since we have organized car events here locally and drew some of the biggest names in the field, so I know what works and what doesn't. As for Mid-Ohio race course, Red Line Events needs to step up to the plate and make something happen here instead of letting them give them the run around. Hell, we have two of the biggest names in Evo building and tuning history close (AMS and Buschur) and Mid-Ohio is in both of their backyards.

I would ABSOLUTELY love to go back to Mid Ohio... However, there will need to be some serious changes to the way they treat us during the entire process of securing a date, planning the event and running the event. What they did to us left a VERY bitter taste in our mouths.
We have confirmation that both AMS Performance and JIC Magic will be at this event with their top cars:
AMS Mitsubishi EVO
JIC Magic/Hankook Tires Nissan S-15 Silvia
The JIC Magic car is coming off a win at Buttonwillow Raceway where driver Tyler McQuarrie broke the existing Time Attack track record with a lap time of 1:48.76.
AMS Performance is coming off an Event Championship at St. Eustache, Montreal where they too broke the existing closed-wheel lap record with a lap time of 54.754 seconds.
It is going to be a knock down, drag out fight in St Louis. Im most interested to see if any big hitters from other road racing series/sanctioning bodies are going to step up to contend for the event championship... Corvettes, Vipers, Porsches, BMWs, whatever.
In the lower divisions, DTM Motorsports, reigning Modified Class Champion from Summit Point 2006 will be in attendance. SPL Parts, runner up two events in a row in California is considering attending the event and giving the East Coast boys from DTM a run for their money. In the Street Class division, James Elterman will be piloting both Nukabe/Cusco STIs at this event in the AWD Street Class and Manuel Ortega will be making the trek all the way out from California to battle for the Street FWD crown in his Neon SRT-4.

I am very serious about racing, but my time is limited unless I can get a viable income option from a facility like this. I would drop everything to just get the opportunity to make people happy and fulfill a lifetime dream. Also, would like to put some sort of Drifting or car event together here in Dayton, Ohio if you guys(Redline) would be interested in co-sponsoring some sort of event at the Nutter Center or some other place. We need to push our sports venues to the limits and get as much airtime and advertising as possible.
Thanks

There will be however more than just entries in the "lower divisions"
See you guys in St Louis

I can put them on the Redline Time Attack website if you have any photos of the new cars. Right now, I only have the S15 up there.
As we get closer and closer to the event the number of high level cars committing to the event continues to rise!
Yukio, that is great news! So is the S-15 officially retired from Time Attack competition now?
The Street Class and Modified Class are still wide open at this time. If you have any thoughts of competing in this event, or even of only driving in the HPDE on Saturday, and you have questions for us, please call us or email us. We want to make sure that everyone is in a position to make a proper decision to participate.
