Thx Andrew, I'll look into that Whiteline piece because as you said, going backwards would not be good!

I measure a bit differently--from the bottom of the rim to the fenderwell--it still translates...

Spring rates are 10k/8k

Thx for the props

The car was FTD overall out of 119 entries & 3rd on PAX...

I'll try the re-sizing--although I'm technically challenged

Not very strong... The closest car was a full-tilt STi, which had a run within 7/10ths. The next fastest car overall was a full second behind him...

We always have speed-maintainence course @ that a runway site. It's going to be very difficult to achieve PAX FTD as the fast drivers (National level) in G Stock Mini Coopers S cars (the new turbo) do very well on those course types and have a relatively soft PAX.

We'd (SM) have to clear them by abt 2.5-3 secs on a 35-40 second course to PAX #1--only in the rain will that happen IMO...

Are your SM cars FTD @ your events?

Seriously, I have the camber nearly maxed on the Megan adjustment, although I've not done an alignment (just by eyeball) yet, as we're working on final ride-height adjustments.
The car handles very well as-is, but I would like to lower the Cg a touch more as the car carries alot of weight up high w/ the sunroof & my heavy torso

I'm thinking longer studs on the front to allow a larger spacer as to not interfere w/ the coilover perch & go another 5/8" all the way around. The rears s/b no issue as the fender rolling did the trick.

I saw a pic of Daddio's car that was in DC @ the Pro & his car is significantly lower...

Admir, I gave the car a chance as I replaced those Tien S-techs w/ the stock springs & the car just came alive after that (it handled worse than a minivan w/ those springs )
Don't worry it's being put to good use & it's tearing everything up down here
Have you done a toe alignment after maxing out the camber, with toe plates or something? Adding negative camber adds toe in up front. The added toe in will kill any handling advantages you thought you were getting by adding the negative camber.

You're absolutely spot-on... I haven't done an alignment on the car yet as I'm trying to get the final ride-height set, and I don't want to keep going back for multiple alignment$...

The added toe-in on the front makes the car want to wash out in sweepers under any kind of power. This last course had a nice, open sweeper on the turnaround, but I had to wait quite a while before I could add power.

Good observation Boder

You need some toe plates. Check it out:
http://www.longacreracing.com/catalo...id=152&catid=5

You can do all of the toe alignments you want for $60. It's pretty easy. It only takes about half an hour per front or rear. The only rule is that you make the same adjustments on both sides(assuming your toe alignment was straight to begin with).

If you change your camber via camber plates between street and AX/track duty, you can make marks on your tie rods. Make sense?
