Fun pic from last weekends autox
Doctor: That is the worst case of rear inside rear tire lift I have ever seen ...
Patient: What can we do about it?
Doctor: Your car is going to require "suspension" surgery ....
Patient: Oh noez! more money ....
That's exactly what drove me to upgrade the suspension on my car to Ohlins DFVs and run in STU instead of running in AS with R-comps.
... Plus I got sick of extreme body roll ...

... Plus I got sick of extreme body roll ...I really dont think an STU evo could do a faster raw time than a AS evo.
There is an STU evo locally with a very good driver behind the wheel and he is still a little ways behind me in raw time, even on a course where I cant keep the wheels on the ground.
I could definetly see a STU evo beat a AS evo in PAX though, drivers being equal. Remember, AS PAX is much closer to a SS PAX than an STU PAX. We just havent seen the level of drivers in STU as we have in AS to bring that PAX multiplier up.

Personally I couldnt stand running on "street" tires. I would rather be an underdog in BSP than tip toeing through the course with no grip. Just my opinion.
It really depends on the course, on a course with tight turns and a lot of straight aways it is possible for an STU EVO to be faster but generally an AS EVO should be faster. Yes R-comps do make that much of a difference!
No, I didn't fully prep my EVO for AS, as I was at a cross roads and was trying to determine whether I should mod for AS or STU. I eventually decided to go to STU for the following reasons:
1. Stocks springs rates are too soft and couldn't do much to control extreme dive and squat.
2. Front sway bar as a PITA to install
3. Upgrading shocks to compensate for lack of spring rate wasn't my ideal way of improving the suspension.
4. I didn't like the excessive outter edge wear of the tires
5. I'm lazy and didn't want to change tires of 4 mins of performance driving
6. I do occasional track days and it made sense to be running with RA1s on coilovers vs RA1s on stock setup ...
