Evo Track Day @ Nelson Ledges
Hey guys,
I've been to Nelson ledges few times now. It's a great track and not expensive at all. I've been there when Preludes, BMWs, Minis had meets and such. I just thought maybe people would be interested in renting the track. It could be evo northeast meet.
I talked to officials, they are not that booked (we could get in a month). I know that about 10 evos from Cleveland area would be attending. Couple Columbus guys, Pittsburgh.
If we rent a track during a week (Mon-Thu) It would cost around $2500 for the track, $600 ambulance, $400 corner workers. All and everything would come up to be around $4000.
I wanted to see if any evos in surrounding areas would be interested. If BMWs, Porsches, Audis etc. can do it, why can't we?
P.S Here is the web site for the track http://www.nelsonledges.com

2 minutes!?! We need to work on your driving Dave!
With an MBC, filter, and exhaust, springs and Kumho v700's, I went 1:18's there 3 years ago. With the current setup I would think mid teens should be no problem. It is a fun track, used to be my home track when I raced bikes there.
Track record is sub 60 seconds. One the fastest 2 mile tracks in the country.

I'm not from Ohio...... Sounds far-ish from IL though. How far would it be from... Indy?

I was thinking 6 hours was kind of long, but maybe not. It takes me over 2 to get there from Columbus, but then I don't think I'm taking the best route. I spend a lot of time on the back roads through a bunch of small towns. It seems like it doesn't take any longer to get to BeaveRun! Is it better to pick up 44 and come back west on 305?
