It did say that there will be no F1 GP at IMS, but it didn't say there will be no US GP. I heard that Bernie wanted to have an F1 GP in NY and it's a street course. But not so sure.

According to the AP story that I read, it will most likely be NY or Las Vegas.

I'd rather go to Montreal anyway, but Bernie is a fool if he doesn't find a replacement soon.

That's sad. I'm glad I went again this year. I do hope they don't have it in Vegas, though. Does anyone else think that place has become an epic ripoff over the past ten years? Maybe it just feels that way because the EVO has taken away any of my discretionary income.

I also don't want it in Vegas.....my once a year trip to SEMA is already a bit much.

Hell yeah man. Go back to the heyday of gp. the glen, portland, road atlanta, or elkhart lake would be some tracks i'd like to see. Or better yet - Laguna Seca or have them run the road course at Daytona Can you imagine kimi and hammy dicing on the high banks coming out of turn 4. F*CKIN' A man !!!!

I heard this on the local AFN radio station on Friday. I think it really sucks, but i knew it was possible.

Oh well, we shall see

personally i think indys track was very boring. i am glad it got axed.
I think the perfect track would be Miller's 4.5 mile track in utah.
Road America would also be great and Sears point.

It would never happen at Road America. There isnt enough room to build garages for all of the teams. Thats the big problem for all of the tracks.

the Indy track does suck-the teams and drivers pretty much hate it as much as the fans do but it has one thing going for it and that is the atmosphere and history. only reason they went there in first place im guessing-and also the facilities of course.

some road course in LV or NY would be great. the Long Beach course from that 50 Years of Formula 1 On Board DVD looked great-some elevation change and high speed corners and just looks like a fun course to race on. Of course they wont go back though.

One reason Magny-Cours is gone is cause its in middle of nowhere and King Bernie wants his show to be in or or at least very near a big city so count out any tracks more than 30 minutes or so from major cities-not many of those around so if they do have a USGP it's gonna be a temp street circuit. I'd just as well go to Montreal since im east coast but it'd be nice to have them keep the US on the calendar.

While I'm here I'll lobby for the WRC to come to the US and for Mitsu to get back in with factory program- quit sitting on the fence and get your asses back in dammit 8)
