Cool F1 race at the Hungaroring (Hungary)

Well, the wife (from Hungary) and I are going to the Hungaroring to see the F1 race on Aug. 5th. I can't wait to see and hear an actual F1 car. If anyone has been to one of these races in person please give me some advice of what to expect and what to do. We have tickets in the grandstands at the corner right before the finish line. I will post alot of pics as soon as I get back from Hungary.

Did you guys see quali?
How about Alonso balking Hamilton. Ron Dennis and Lewis both looked so pissed. Did you see the lolipop was up, Fernando just sat there, you have too think he did it on purpose. He claimed it was the team, but I'm not so sure.
Also, Massa not making it out of Q2 after being fastest in morning practice. What the hell is going on? Not putting fuel in the car and calling him back in...
Tomorrow's race will be very interesting, thats for sure...

i can't wait to hear the official explanation for Alonso holding up Hamilton. if they find that alonso did it on purpose, then he should charge with blocking and given grid penalty.

There was always the question of who is better, Alonso or Hamilton. Now we know. Alonso has more experience but Hamilton is faster. I saw Ron Denis throw his headset..... I woud also like to here an explanation.

FA demoted to 6th(can not be appealed)...apparently LH didn't follow team orders on lap 1 of q3 letting the lighter fueled FA by to have an additional flying lap. ordered on radio 6 times. FA was held by his engineer. mclaren will not be awarded any constructor points for this circuit (being appealed). this could be all cover up, but i would think ron dennis would be doing a whole lot of lying as it could adversly effect his credibility with the bigger issue for them.

clifs notes...FA demoted to 6th on grid and McLaren awarded no WCC points for race.

hopefully FA is able to get by shu and ros in the first corner or it rains, or he's screwed for the day.

if alonso was just following oder, than i can't really blame him. but if he did it with the intention to hold back hamilton, then he should get more than 6 spot back. i personally don't think it was team order because ron dennis seemed pretty pissed off and didn't know what was going on. if they wanted alonso to stay for an open spot in the track, they wouldn't have lifted the lollipop on him. just my opinion.

Please, and again please, don't speculate. I would admit one more time that I am a Alonso fan but let me clarify things first.

1) Over TV it was questionable that Alonso was Holding Lewis Hamilton on the boxes(he wasn't, I will explain later)
2) Ron Denis was pissed because his team was looking like $hit and disorganized and he threw the headset
3) UK and Italy press spare no time to blame Alonso saying that he was holding Lewis
4) McLaren realized that actually Lewis Hamilton disobey the team orders and Alonso actually obey the team orders
5) Ron Dennis realized that he mistakingly and erracticly blame on Alonso for something that it wasn't his fault
6) FIA decided to put Alonso on 6th place despite it wasn't his fault at all
7) Ron Denis see he is in deep $hit and realized that he screwed up Alonso big time and responded to the press conference that it was actually his fault and that Alonso was accidentally blame on the mess and that it was actually Lewis Hamilton the one that did not follow orders.

Summary, the spoiled little british kid screwed up, did not follow orders got pole by default and unfairly sends Alonso to 6th position.

It is a shame, look at Alono's times , he was the fastest. Some heads are going to roll on this one.

I honestly don't think that Alonso will continue on Mclaren next year, they are paying an ungod amount of favoritism on the Rockie(Hamilton) and they are treating Alonso like Crap. It might be that Alonso is not british or whatever but it is obvious that they don't pay favors to him.

I think Alonso will go next year to a more respectfull team like BMW or something else then McLaren will deeply regret loosing the best /most consistent driver around.

Carlos

Hamilton faster? are you refering to this race? Alonso got fastest time on free training sesions and got fastest time for pole.

Technically LH has the fastest laptime time in Saturday qualifying he just didn't do it in Q3.

http://www.formula1.com/results/season/2007/780/6430/

From the data its very apparent that LH could have bested FA Q3 time IF he had 1 more final hot-lap, however he did not, and FA got pole.

I think its easy to point fingers and the data makes FA look really bad but until more is found out nobody except McLaren-Mercedes really knows.

Should be a good race tomorrow, but I think I would have enjoyed more if LH and FA were battling up-front.
