Giant's Despair Hillclimb
You think a 2.5 RS was slow up the hill? Look what I was driving:

For the record, Jeff Doble has the Pagoda Hill Climb record in that RS for DSP. He was 0.1 second from taking the Giants record in the same class.

Hey! I'll assume that you are using the third definition of the word as listed in the dictionary:
slug, v. To strike hard and heavily.
You'd be surprised how much driver skill can outweigh hp at events like this. Come on out and try it.
Sincerely,
The Slug.

man a hill climb must be fun..it must be pretty different from just normal rally courses..u're drifting as u go up? does this make it seem like u're driving a heavier car or just a slower drift? i wanna go into rallying too..
no drifting in hill climbing. As I pointed out to Jeff on my 4th run, it was pretty quick but I was sideways twice. Jeff's reply: "well, there goes that run."
On tarmac, you want to "carve" to keep up momentum. Also, static coefficient of friction is higher than dynamic, so you can physically corner faster if the tires aren't slipping. This may/may not be true for rally, but nobody has ever explained the theory behind "hanging it out" on tarmac rallies to me, so I'm still skeptical as to whether or not it is actually the fastest way through a stage.
