Not sure that is going to happen...... I'm not ruling out the possibility that it will be allowed in the future, but initially, we will not allow Non DOT slicks for 2008...

We still need to see conclusive evidence of JUST how much faster a non DOT slick is than a DOT slick..

We're also exploring options for testing tires with durometers, and using the "softness" as the limiting factor in Unlimited... But again, proper testing must be performed by us prior to any decision and change in our rules for 2008.

Durometer testing would work.. that way you would have the option to run a full non dot slick so long as it passed the test.

That is the idea.... but before we determine what values will be acceptable, we need to perform the necessary testing.
