"Rain Friendly" Race Pads

For those of you who've tracked race pads in the rain, which pads have you used and how hard was it to clean off the brake dust?

So far I've used these pads in the rain:

PF97 - brake dust cemented onto wheels after one session. I couldn't wash it all off after I got home.

Hawk DTC60/70 - brake dust washed off wheels easily

I heard the Raybestos ST43 pads exhibit similar characteristics like the PF pads.

I also have a set of Ferodo DS3000 pads that I haven't used in the rain yet. So I'm curious if some of you have as I don't want to find out the dust is a pain to wash off if I can avoid it!

Hawk Blues have terrible dust, especially when wet.

I will second the ease of cleaning DTC60 pad dust off. Just got ST43s but most likely I won't run them in the wet.

Axxis Ultimate dust cleans off easily and the pads are very cheap.

I've ran my PFC01's in the rain. They were difficult to clean up, but I also kept on my stock BBS wheels/tires because of the rain so there were a LOT more crevices than usual. My track setup consists of the dependable FN01R-C's and r-comps. I'm also not sure they were quite up to temp as they squealed a bit still.

I've got some Hawk Blues I was going to try out. Do I need to be sure to wipe off any dust during the day? I've heard they are pretty corrosive??

AFAIK, Hawk Blue dust is the worst. If it were me, I'd get rid of the Hawk blues - don't even run them. I never tried to clean the wheel when dry as it rained before I had a chance to clean them and the intardnet says that when the dust becomes wet it's like concrete. The residue on the wheels was impervious to car soap and simple green and lots of scrubbing. Supposedly oven-cleaner works but that will take off some paint as well.

the PF97's are cement, literally, and take lots of dremel and polishing work to get off, i had a detailer attempt to try and the went through one bit and the stuff was smoking off of the wheel on one 1x1 area on the lip. I have a new set of 43's i haven't tried yet but this time i'm going to swap before/after the track. You can get if off if its fresh still and hasn't developed rust yet.
