Phoenix Event - I dont know all of the details, but according to NOPI, Firebird canceled the date on them. I have not spoken with a representative of Firebird to get their side of the story.

Consider us an innocent casualty to whatever happened..... :-(

hey nikolas,
you know this means there are now more "east coast" events vs. west coast events right?
Kinda seems unfair to the west coast based efforts. How about an Infineon event to make up for it?

-yang still looking forward to the buttonwillow event

*update*
just noticed that the origional redline posted on evom included a laguna event toward the end of the year, but the official web site doesn't list that as an event.
http://www.redlinetimeattack.com/index-5.html

Was that event cancelled as well or just an oversight?

You are correct about the number of East vs West events... We are going to update the Points rules to allow for a maximum of 3 events being points eligible, down from the 4 we had originally planned for.

The Laguna Event has been replaced with an as yet to be announced location/date. It was a VERY last minute decision.

We thought about Spring Mountain, but the dates we needed were already taken.

Hopefully its replaced by Big Willow . That track would be awesome for a time attack.

There were 73 competitors at the California Speedway event last year and only 45 at Laguna Seca.

SoCal wins!

j/k, Infineon would be awesome too.

Infineon is booked for this year. They typically work on their schedule 12-18 months ahead....

Odds are pretty good you will see a 2009 date at Infineon for Redline Time Attack.
